St. Germain to kick off Colorama Saturday St. Germain, the “Birthplace of Colorama,” will host its 50th annual Colorama festival this Saturday, Sept. 19, to kick off festivals across the North Woods that mark the fall color change.
The St. Germain Chamber of Commerce event will be held at the community park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The festival will include a craft show, pumpkin painting, a live auction, wine tasting, a farmers market, horse-drawn wagon rides, the Mums the Word fall flower sale and food and refreshments.
Colorama, the fall leaf-color fashion show, occurs during September and October across Vilas and Oneida counties. It’s a time when the North Woods is less crowded, when people interested in nature leisurely wind their way through the countryside to view the scenery at its best.
