Santa, ice shanty parade set Saturday in Eagle River The Eagle River Business Association (ERBA) will sponsor its annual parade with Santa Claus and his reindeer Saturday, Nov. 28, beginning at 1 p.m. in the parking lot across the street from The Christmas House on Wall Street.
A new addition to this year’s parade will be ice shanties decorated for Christmas. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.
Parade participants may wear costumes and holiday hats and may create Christmas banners or signs.
Participants will walk to the Eagle River Depot Museum, located in the old train depot, where children will be able to share their Christmas wish list with Santa from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Milk and cookies will be available and the staff from Rocking W Stables will provide free sleigh rides in conjunction with visits with Santa Claus.
Businesses in downtown Eagle River will have expanded hours and sales for Christmas shoppers.

Three Lakes festival
The Three Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center will light the gazebo in Cy Williams Park for the holidays this Saturday, Nov. 28.
Terrie and Ken Korosec, owners of Terrie’s Treats in downtown Three Lakes, decorated the gazebo for the holidays.
The lights will be lit at 6 p.m. and Santa and Mrs. Claus should arrive shortly thereafter. Mrs. Claus and the chamber will have treats for youths, including holiday cookies, hot chocolate and warm apple cider.
If youths do not have a chance to see Santa at Cy Williams Park Nov. 28, they can attend the Three Lakes Lions Club Children’s Christmas Party Saturday, Dec. 5, at Bonnie’s Lakeside at 11:30 a.m.
Youths will be treated to a lunch of hot dogs, chips and soda, courtesy of Ed and Bonnie Lamb, followed by sleigh rides through the woods and hot chocolate.
