Elderly, disabled the target of plan By Kurt Krueger News-Review Editor Five counties and three Indian tribes are working jointly to develop a regional Aging and Disability Resources Center (ADRC) that will act as a doorway to long-term care services.
Five of the last seven counties in the state that aren’t part of an ADRC, including Vilas and Oneida, are designing a system that offers one-stop shopping for screening and information on available programming.
The draft organizational structure shows five satellite agencies that would be overseen by a regional manager and a team comprised of the director from each agency, though most decisions haven’t been finalized.
Involved are Florence, Forest, Oneida, Taylor and Vilas counties and the Sokaogon Chippewa, Lac du Flambeau Chippewa and Forest County Potawatomi tribes.
