Ralph L. Ujazdowski Ralph L. Ujazdowski, age 76, of Brillion, Wis., went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wis., surrounded by loving family.
He was born June 14, 1934, in Three Lakes, Wis., to Rose and Frank Ujazdowski.
He served two years in the U.S. Army. He worked at Cloud Buick as a detailer before operating three service stations in Appleton.
He also owned and operated Tom’s Tap in Appleton, Barbie’s Doll House in Menasha, and Slumberland Resort in Eagle River. For many years, Ralph was a truck driver for the Wykoski family and Nagel Lumber Co.
His favorite pastimes were visiting with family and friends, playing cribbage and caring for his grand-dog, Bentley. His generosity and caring phone calls will be remembered by many.
He attended the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration prayer vigil every Monday night from midnight until 2 a.m. at the Chilton Catholic Church. He was a lifelong member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Three Lakes, where he was baptized and confirmed.
He is survived by his lifelong friend and caregiver, Mary Lou DeMunck of Brillion; two sons, Frank (Cindy) of Appleton, and Peter (Amy) DeMunck of Brillion; two daughters, Cathy (Jim) Calvetti of Eagle River, and Kelly Johnson of Appleton; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and his 94-year-old brother, Stanley (Alice) Gorski of Florida.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Angeline (Gutwa), Marion, Agnes (Saidikowski) and Elenore (Frankowski); three brothers, Julius Gorski, Kazimer Gorski and Jim Ujazdowski, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Christian Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion on Friday, July 23, at 2 p.m. and at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Three Lakes on Saturday, July 31, at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow both services. There will be no showing at Ralph’s request.
A burial will be held at the Three Lakes Cemetery.
