Harold 'Bud' Seifert Harold “Bud” Seifert of Eagle River, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Inn Care Country House in Phelps. He was 91.
He was born in Evanston, Ill., the son of Walter and Mabel (nee Abney) Seifert.
A resident of Eagle River since 1930, Mr. Seifert retired as custodian of Northland Pines High School in 1981. He was a member of the Eagle River Area Volunteer Fire Department, Eagle River Lions Club, Eagle River VFW and Eagle River American Legion.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the Bushmasters in the Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice; his parents, Walter and Mabel; and two brothers, James and Robert.
Survivors include two daughters, Janine (Gale) Jolin of Phelps and Bette-Jo Held of Conover; two sons, Harold Jr. (Sandra) of Cedar Park, Texas, and John (Jane) Seifert of Grafton; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 21, at 2 p.m. at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle River. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Eagle River Cemetery.
