Eagle River eyes segment
near Three Eagle Trail

The creation of an Eagle River segment of the popular Three Eagle Trail is gaining momentum following recent support from two municipalities.

The Three Eagle Trail Foundation will apply in August for a Department of Transportation (DOT) grant to provide most of the funding for the new bicycling and hiking trail.

The 3-mile segment will start right in Eagle River and extend south to within 1.5 miles of the existing Three Eagle Trail on Sundstein Road in the town of Lincoln.
