Arlene Haske

Arlene Haske of Sugar Camp, formerly of Zion, Ill., died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at her home. She was 65.

She was born March 25, 1945, in Radisson, the daughter of Michael and Grace Seffinga.

Mrs. Haske retired from Abbott Laboratory in North Chicago, Ill.

Her hobbies included Bible study, poetry and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Buck Seffinga and Michael Seffinga; and two sisters, Lois Ives and Margie Ruch.

Survivors include three daughters, Kelli (Russ) Nellis, Doreen Haske and Karen Remick of Sugar Camp; two sons, Bill (Jeanette) of Beach Park, Ill., and Brian(Shauna) Haske of Winthrop Harbor, Ill.; one brother, Larry (Carol) Seffinga of Birchwood; one sister, Darlene (Robert) Scharlau of Spring Grove, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A funeral service was held July 23 at the Nellis family farm in Sugar Camp.
